State Prison Inmate Convicted of Murder in Logan County Escapes! — Please Share!

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that an inmate, sentenced by a Logan County jury to 20 years in prison for First Degree Murder in 1999, has escaped from the Arkansas Department of Corrections in Pine Bluff.  Timothy Buffington is described as a white male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and 182 pounds. He is 45 years old with a bald head. He has scars on his abdomen and upper left arm.  Anyone with information is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.

UPDATE:  At 10:33pm 6/21/14 from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office… Police are searching the area of Princeton Pike in Pine Bluff for escaped inmate Timothy Buffington. The 47 year old left his work assignment earlier this evening.  ADC officers and canines are searching for him and local and state law enforcement agencies have been notified.

UPDATE: At 7:23pm 6/22/14 from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Pine Bluff… Law Enforcement authorities are still searching for Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) escaped inmate Timothy Buffington a/k/a “Bo” Buffington (47), who left his work assignment on Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Buffington is 5’6”, weighs 182 pounds and has a tattoo on his right wrist.  ADC records show that Buffington was convicted in Logan County of first degree murder in 1999 and is serving a 20 year sentence.  Buffington’s last known address is listed as 192 1st St. in Booneville.

Buffington is to be considered armed and dangerous. Please immediately report any sighting to your local law enforcement (870) 541-5300

UPDATE – At 10:33pm 6/24/14 from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office in Paris… There are reports that Timothy Buffington who escaped from the Arkansas Department of Corrections in Pine Bluff on Saturday has been spotted in a field in Grant County.
