Showers will begin to develop, mainly across the southern half of Arkansas, late tonight.
Showers will increase in coverage over the state on Friday, then diminish somewhat Friday night.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur in the state Saturday, especially during the afternoon and evening.
Best chances for showers and thunderstorms, however, will be from late Saturday night into Sunday. Rain could be heavy at times during this time frame. Rain will diminish from late Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.
Best chances for severe thunderstorms will be to the south of Arkansas, but we will need to watch the period from late Saturday night into Sunday morning to see if any severe storms might creep up into southern Arkansas.
Rainfall from tonight through Sunday will average 3/4 to 1 3/4 inches, with local totals in the 2 to 3 inch range.
