National Weather Service Says Significantly Colder Weather On The Way

141107 colder weather on the way
The National Weather Service office in Little Rock reports a significant push of Arctic air into the southern United States, including Arkansas, beginning around mid-week of the coming week.

Temperatures will begin to drop on Tuesday, as an Arctic front passes through the state. On Wednesday, it is quite likely most areas will not get out of the 40s for highs. In fact, portions of northern Arkansas may stay in the 30s.

Monitor the latest weather forecasts, as things will likely change to varying degrees between now and then. However, forecast model data continues to come back colder, which is increasing confidence of the NWS in turn.

Prepare NOW for much colder temperatures.
