At 2,733 feet, Mount Magazine stands above all else as the highest point in the state of Arkansas with beautiful rock bluffs, breathtaking views, and a carpet of clouds awaiting those who chose to spend the night at the newly rebuilt 60 room lodge or 13 cabins stretching along the bluff!
Mount Magazine State Park and the nearby City of Paris share hosting of the annual Butterfly Festival, with educational exhibits and seminars showcasing over 90 species of butterflies, including the Diana Fritillary, Arkansas’ State Butterfly. The mountain is also home to many of the region’s American black bear.
