A Faulkner County Sheriff’s spokesman says scam artists are back at it again! The office reports an incident this (Monday) morning related to a “jury duty scam.”
The office say the scam artists are impersonating Faulkner County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Matt Rice and Major John Randall, and that the caller is advising the person that they had missed jury duty…and there is a warrant for their arrest. The caller then ask that the caller pay their fine over the phone.
The Sheriff’s Office says they will NEVER call and take a payment by phone and to please do not fall for this. The office advises anyone who receives a call similar to this to always call the sheriff’s office with any questions.
If you receive a call like this, call 501-450-4914 (for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office) or your local law enforcement agency and make a report.
