A cold front will bring some thunderstorms to Arkansas later today.
John Robinson, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Little Rock says we could see a few severe thunderstorms from the middle of this afternoon through the middle of the evening. Best chances will be from central into northeast and east central Arkansas. Lesser chances will exist over the rest of the northern two-thirds of the state. Damaging winds will have a greater risk of occurring than large hail.
Some thunderstorms will continue after midnight over the southern half of Arkansas, but chances for severe weather should be quite a bit lower by then. Storms will finally exit southern Arkansas on Monday morning.
