18th Annual Mount Magazine Butterfly Festival Set for June 20 & 21

Mount Magazine State Park and the Paris Chamber of Commerce are finalizing plans for the 18th Annual Butterfly Festival to be held on Friday and Saturday, June 20th and 21st.

Hours will be 10:00am – 4:00pm both days at the North Logan County Fair Grounds. Activities are to include a live butterfly observatory, helicopter rides, horse rides, petting zoo, kid zone, kiddy train, a dog show with six winning categories, live entertainment with dancing, singing, flutes, guitars, and country artist Merilee Voth. More than 60 craft vendors plan to showcase their creations, and an art and photo contest will be held for youth and adults, along with a coloring sheet for children to display…and so much more!

Events atop beautiful Mount Magazine, both days, will feature nature walks, hikes, a plant sale, and the popular bug bonanza!

The annual Mount Magazine Pageant is scheduled for 6:00pm Friday, June 20th, at the Paris Middle School Auditorium. A 5K Run, hosted by Paris First Assembly of God, will begin at 7:30am Saturday morning, June 21st. A pancake breakfast will follow that event.
